During Fleishman’s presidency of the Bardavon, the theater re-established itself on firm financial footing. The Bardavon board recently elevated Gene Trustee Emeritus in honor and recognition of his longstanding dedication to the theater.
Bonnie Meadow, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County, Inc. describes Fleishman as “the kind of person that you can always count on to help, whether the task is small and unglamorous or monumental and mind-boggling. Gene’s wise counsel is a cornerstone of our decision-making process and a reliable voice of reason.” Fleishman is currently the Secretary of the Board of Directors of Jewish Federation of Dutchess County, a position he has held for three years and also serves on the Executive Committee.
