NEWS ALERT FOR NYC NONPROFITS:
The NYC Department of Finance is requesting updated information from nonprofits that have real estate tax exemptions.
If your organization received a “Not-for-Profit Exemption Renewal” form from the Department of Finance, sent on September 19, 2011, please complete the information requested on each and every form received and return it to the Department of Finance.
It is a time-sensitive document and must be submitted by October 24, 2001. If you know of any organization that will be affected, because they have a real estate tax exemption, please spread the word about this new requirement.
