NYCON Launches Online Nonprofit Retirement Resource Center
Albany, NY —February 24th, 2011 - The New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) is pleased to launch an online Retirement Resource Center to provide solutions, plans and educational services geared to the small to mid-sized nonprofit dealing with the complicated and sometimes very expensive world of retirement options. NYCON Members can now access tools, resources, links to helpful websites and even members’ only events and webinars to help their organization find the right solutions for their employees’ retirement needs.
NYCON will be launching their Retirement Resource Educational Series with an event hosted by Scott Coopersmith & Lou Eliasof of MetLife on March 14th in New York City. This free luncheon for NYCON members will include an educational address on “What Every Nonprofit Needs to Know About the World of Retirement Planning” by featured keynote speaker Michael K. Farrell, Executive Vice President of MetLife. Entertainment will be provided by NYCON Members.
NYCON will also provide a series of workshops in its New York City office on topics like: Trends in 403b Plans for Nonprofits; Fiduciary Responsibility for Nonprofits; Financial Wellness for Nonprofit Employees and Retiring with Confidence as well as an online series of trainings for members statewide which will include IRS Audit Results and Fee Disclosures – What You Should Be Looking For From Your Provider.
