New "Risk Management for Nonprofits" Report Released in Aftermath of FEGS

In the aftermath of the FEGs scandal, a new report by Seachange Capital Partners and Oliver Wyman "Risk Management for Nonprofits" has been released. The report – which includes a comprehensive, bottom-up, financial analysis of New York City’s nonprofit sector – describes concrete steps nonprofits can take to reduce their risk of failure. It draws upon best practices developed in the for-profit sector, insights from the financial analysis, and interviews with leaders from a dozen distressed nonprofits, as well as a smaller number of groups that appear to have developed best practices.
