NYS Agencies to Hold Information Session on Upcoming Grants and Grants Gateway Process

On Thursday, August 20th, Executives from four key State agencies will present their latest work and announce any available Request for Proposals. Agencies include: NYS Department of Labor (DOL), Office of Children and Families Services (OCFS), Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), and the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA). After agency presentations the Nonprofit Unit’s Grants Gateway team will offer a training session on prequalifying for State grants, and present updates on the new, online grants system. Your nonprofit or faith-based organization is encouraged to attend, regardless if you have ten state contracts or are considering applying for State funds for the first time. The State staff will be available to help your organization navigate the system and get answers to your questions. Feel free to bring any questions or problems with State contracts. We will be using a new “Fast Track Solutions” system to get you the answers you need. We will also brief nonprofits on the new Infrastructure Fund, approved for this year’s budget and presented in Governor Cuomo’s Opportunity Agenda. Details on eligibility and timing will be provided by the Nonprofit Unit at the Department of Budget.
