NYCON Board Member to Lead Grassi & Co. NYC Office


Grassi & Co. is proud to announce that David M. Rottkamp, CPA, who is a Partner and the Not-for-Profit Practice

David has spent more than 27 years providing audit and advisory services to the Not-For-Profit industry. In his role as Not-For-Profit Practice Leader at Grassi & Co., David has developed the group into a dedicated team of experts, comprised of four partners and 20 staffed professionals who study the industry continuously and have an unmatched knowledge base. He and his team focus on providing a full suite of services to not-for-profit organizations of all kinds, including special needs organizations and social service providers, religious organizations, educational institutions, membership associations, healthcare providers, foundations, and arts and cultural groups.

Since beginning his career, David has advised some of the region’s most successful not-for-profit organizations in areas such as strategic business development and operations, financial reporting systems, compliance with governmental and other third party rules and regulations, internal control reviews, developing financial forecasts, and providing quality board education and governance advice and training. Through his focus on education and board awareness, he has dramatically improved the internal governance structure of many of the organizations he serves.

An active member of the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA), David is Immediate Past Chair of the Not-for-Profit committee and several of its subcommittees, including government funding sources and cost reporting updates. Prior to this, David has also chaired the statewide Not-for-Profit Conference for the NYSSCPA for the previous four years. David currently chairs the NYSSCPA’s Public Sector Oversight Committee. David is the chair of a NYSSCPA subcommittee, working with the New York State Consolidated Fiscal Reporting Interagency Committee, collaborating with NYS officials on CFR audit and preparation quality and possible revisions to Appendix AA, “Audit Guidelines” of the CFR instructional manual and the instruction manual itself.
