NYC Nonprofits Announces Good Governance Training Series

Nonprofit CEOs, Executive Directors and Board Leaders are invited to register for this free training series on how to utilize the NYC Good Governance Blueprint as a resource and tool for your organization. The NYC Good Governance Blueprint is a resource for board and staff leadership which consolidates best practices, tools, and references for governance. The knowledge of good governance concepts will help you become a more productive leader in making decisions that strengthen your organization's  structure, operation, and sustainability.

Workshops run from 9 am to 10:30 am 
Check-In starts at 8:45 am 

  • April 20th  Section I: Governance Principles Led by:BBB Foundation of Metro New York & charitySTRONG  

  • May 17th  Section II: Strategic Planning and Management Led by: NYC Service 

  • June 6th  Section III: Financial Management and Oversight Led by:Kelly Mathews, COO, NYCON and Governance Matters

  • June 20th Section IV and V: Board & Staff Roles, Responsibilities, and Assessment Led by: Support Center & Cause Effective


The NYC Good Governance Blueprint was developed by the NYC Nonprofit Board Development Coalition, led by NYC Service, a division of the Office of the Mayor. The coalition includes 20 organizations that make it their mission to support nonprofits across New York City.
