Please join us for the last session in an important three-part roundtable series, “Health Coverage Decision-making for Nonprofits in a Critical Year of Change.” The series is sponsored by the New York Community Trust & the Altman Foundation and presented by Governance Matters and Council Services Plus, part of the NYCON family of nonprofit services. All workshop sessions will be held at Philanthropy New York.

Time to Choose: Preparing for Your Open Enrollment

The fall is the time that many nonprofit employers and employees need to make choices as to their health coverage.  Community rated plans and their rate options are publically available and educational and enrollment efforts are underway. This workshop will provide objective, practical and useful strategies to help nonprofit leaders make informed decisions in real time. The workshop will also present tools and ideas on how to best navigate their health plan renewals, including how to get the service your organization needs from your insurance broker. Participants will be empowered with decision making tips for making their health plan selection and provided with communication strategies for keeping staff informed and engaged. The good news is that, at this time of year, we should also have a firmer grasp on federal and state policy developments and how they shaped the marketplace, which will be discussed
