Graphic Designer-Project Rhythm

Are you a changemaker who wants to update the way music is taught to young people across the globe? We are an international music education non-profit (501c3) based in New York. We bring cutting edge music technology into classrooms to allow students to produce their own original songs. We teach life skills and social-emotional learning through the process of collaborative song creation. We have grown a lot over the last five years, utilizing the skill sets of our in-house team and personal network, and now we’re ready to take the next step. This is why we’re hiring a Graphic Designer, to expand our staff, resources, and invest in the future growth of our organization to reach more students in more schools around the world.

About You:

  • You are a talented graphic designer with experience creating youthful and engaging educational training and marketing materials.
  • You have a subscription to the Adobe Suite with special expertise in InDesign
  • You want to be a part of a socially oriented organization. You are accustomed to being a top performer in a high-growth environment.
  • You are looking to work on intermittent freelance projects with the intention of developing a more formal and permanent working relationship.
  • You live in the New York metro area (preferred).

About Us:

We used to run a major recording studio in Brooklyn, New York. We’ve distilled the knowledge we used to produce major artists (i.e. the music kids actually like, not the music adults want them to like) into a songwriting course.

We use students’ enthusiasm about learning how to make their favorite kinds of music to teach them valuable life skills, such as time management, social-emotional skills and teamwork.

We’ve brought our workshops to students around the world, and have reached more than 2,000 students so far.

Job Duties and Tasks:

Over the past two years we have created a wide array of written training materials for our teachers that we’ve honed as we continue to grow our organization and tailor our curriculum

We are looking for a graphic designer to make edits to our current written manual in InDesign as well as make some adjustments to our branding material. This will involve some editing as well as creating some original logo content.


  • Experience creating and editing layouts for instructional literature, guidebook, textbook, manuals etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
