The Pre-paid Legal Services Plan was established to provide high quality, efficient legal counsel to employees of New York Council of Nonprofits, Inc.’s members’ agency employees who enroll in the plan. This Service Summary is designed to help you and other plan members learn what the Plan can do for you and how you can make the most effective use of the Plan.

Under the Plan, eligible Plan members may receive legal assistance in the handling of their personal affairs. As described more fully in this summary certain services are provided without cost to members while other services are available for a reasonable co-pay fee.

Any lawyer rendering services under the Plan will represent clients on an individual basis. As a Plan member you are entitled to the lawyer’s undivided allegiance in the lawful promotion and protection of your particular interest. This, of course, includes the preservation of any confidential information about you.

We welcome you as a enrolled member in the Plan and assure you of our commitment to making available the finest legal representation we can arrange for you. Questions or suggestions of improvement are encouraged and may be sent directly to the Director of the Plan.
